I really want to talk to a guy I've been seeing for a year now but I've never talked to him.?

Okay I have a problem and I really need help with answers. I've been going to this super market for about a year now. and since like the first time I went there I saw this guy that really caught my attention he's a (employee) btw. So after going there almost daily to get food etc he started to notice me and seemed to get nervous and kinda blush. well it might've seemd like I was ignoring him because I would walk by him and look at him sometimes but half the time I smile at him or start blushing and he does the same. we both kinda stare at each other def make eye contact. okay so now I'm starting to notice that maybe this guy could become like my next friend or a very important person in my life. so I wanna talk to him but here's the thing one time I walked in there with my friend and there's a redbox inside and me and my friend were renting a movie and he was bagging right behind us but then he was done but just standing there. and I got VERY nervous but kept look for movies and my friend kept teasing me kinda whispering telling me things like why are you so nervous and stuff etc. and we were mentioning his name. anyway we got done picking our movie and we were still gonna get something inside so on the side of the redbox movie there was a small space and then another like lotto thing and I looked back and he wasn't there anymore and I saw someone walk at the side of us but didn't think it was him so in my head I was like oh he prob left. so then I started talking more loud and mentioning his name kinda and didn't know that. that person who walked by us was him and he went in that small space by the redbox and was just standing there. and I told my friend like please stop teasing me I'm nervous and when we got done we walked away and I was loud when I said AWW he left. and looked at the redbox and the space and he was just standing there. so he NOW obviously knows I like him. but anyway he still smiles and my friend says when I go in the market he's carting and looking for me. so now I wanna talk to him but do you think I should walk by him smile make eye contact and say hi and walk away. and then maybe next time have a convo with him or should I just straight out and talk to him please answer?! I really need a answer I want to know what other people's opinions are? thank you.
