Questions on great gatsby ch 8?

What does this chapter tell us about Nick - his interest , his prejudices , his strengths and his weaknesses ? Is he honest as he said he was? Is he the only truly moral person in the book ? How does our developing understanding of Nick affect our views regrading the other characters ? in the end , is he the true " hero " of the novel? thank you
